EN 826

Thermal insulating products for building applications - Determination of compression behaviour

This European Standard specifies the equipment and procedures for determining compression behaviour of test specimens. It is applicable to thermal insulating products. It can be used to determine the compressive stress in compressive creep tests and for applications in which insulating products are only exposed to short term loads.

In a Tram testing system, the thickness of the specimen is measured automatically at a pre-programmed contact load. The specimen is then compressed 10%. and all required calculations are performed automatically including Sigma10, Sigmae and Sigmam.
